Welcome to the Health Education Resource Exchange (H.E.R.E.)
An online clearinghouse of public health education and health promotion materials, projects, people, events, and resources in the State of Washington. H.E.R.E. is designed for people who perform population-based health promotion activities in a variety of settings, primarily state and local health departments, tribes, community organizations, clinics, hospitals, and schools.

This clearinghouse contains a number of resources:
  • Hundreds of free posters, brochures, and fact sheets--most can be viewed, downloaded, or ordered
  • Descriptions of local health promotion projects--with a focus on evidence-based outcomes
  • Strategies used in the field of health education and health promotion
  • A calendar of events and training opportunities of interest to health educators
  • A directory of professional colleagues in Washington State, including a growing number of contributors to this site
  • Bimonthly e-newsletters
 

We strive to provide resources that are accurate, effective, and current. Entries in the databases provide a contact name, addresses, and numbers. If you would like more information on projects, educational materials, trainings & events or other resources, please contact the source directly.  

The Health Education Resource Exchange was partially funded from 1995 to 1998 by the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Ongoing funding sources include the Washington State Department of Health and the CDC Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant (Grant 2B01DP009058--contents of the site are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official views of CDC).
